8th Annual Busker’s Bash
Busker (noun): a person who entertains in a public place. The 8th Annual Busker’s Bash will take place on Friday, October 1 from 5 to 9 PM.
Buskers’ Bash is an annual event that celebrates the best local talent from solo musicians to fire-tossing jugglers and every other type of street performer in between. Downtown shops stay open later and offer various discounts! The eclectic crew of sidewalk artists, typically amounting to over 30 acts, perform in front of participating downtown businesses.
The public (aka “audience members”) can pick up maps from City Hall, Rowan Museum or the Rowan County Visitors Center and follow the path to enjoy the evening’s entertainment from 6 to 8 PM.
In addition to the maps, visitors will also receive a bag with five (5) special Busker’s Bash guitar picks to vote for their favorite performers by dropping a pick(s) in the performers’ bucket. (One bag per person, until we run out.) At the end of the night, winners are announced at the Grand Finale location (2nd floor of City Tavern on E. Fisher Street) and awarded awesome prizes.
This year only 40 spots are available to artists/entertainers and five spots available to dance groups. All are on a first come first serve basis. The deadline to sign up is Monday, September 6th. Interested in performing, click the button below to fill out the application.
We want to ensure you all that we are closely monitoring all CDC/State guidelines regarding COVID-19. Safety is our top priority for all of our attendees, artists/entertainers, dance groups, downtown merchants, staff, and community. Any changes will be communicated via email and social media.
